Head of test office (M/F)

The Test Office team plays a key role in the value delivery process of the bank, covering the definition of test strategies and test design, as well as test execution with the focus on automation. The overall goal for the members of the Test Team is to deliver smart products and solutions that create business value and improve overall processes.
The Head of Test Office will be responsible for the following activities:
Lead and manage the Test Office teams.
Manage all testing activities of existing and new internal applications (backend/frontend) as well as interfaces between internal and external systems.
Improve the cross-functional and end-to-end platform test coverage, test automation and release quality.
Define and establish an overall test strategy covering different types of testing (e.g. integration, performance, functional testing), incl. required test tools and frameworks.
Support the implementation of various business and IT projects with the definition of test and quality plans and acceptance criteria, risk management, and IT production & infrastructure setup.
Establish reporting processes about test progress and insure proper communication towards the Project Managers, Business Analyst and the involved business departments
Actively drive the Test Team transformation, the value delivery process and continuously improve related processes.
Review and adjust the Test Team setup, organisation and skills to further support business development and growth.
Coordinate and manage external partners and suppliers in terms of testing support, tools/software and technologies, including evaluation processes.
Connect with other teams to unblock dependencies and impediments, and to provide visibility and transparency about the delivery progress.
Contribute to the enterprise platform architecture and internal infrastructure improvements.
Provide leadership and guidance to your team members, support them with an individual career development and take required actions to increase the knowledge and skill level of the Test Team.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience in leading multicultural test teams with different technical directions.
Several years of experience in the development of an overall test (automation) architecture of web applications, including test data management.
Solid knowledge of different common test tools and frameworks (e.g. Robot framework, JMeter, SOAP UI), as well as testing of Web Services (SOAP, REST) and API test management.
Experience with databases (SQL Server and/or other)
Strong understanding of common testing best practices (e.g. Behaviour Driven/Test Driven Development)
Experience with different development frameworks and principles, as well as change management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge about banking/payment platforms and core banking systems is a plus.
